geez, been so busy... no time to breathe... :/ haha, after landing in sg ytd, was off to my aunt's house liao. was greated by all the relatives from my dad's side - so, i didn't miss out on meeting them in a way... ;) the food was great - n unfinishable... haha, there was seriosuly so much. duck, chicken, vege (many many types), pork, pork in a different style, more fish, abalone... blah blah blah... well, good, cuz i was really hungry as i didn't eat on the plane... ;)

after much joking and bantering (really loudly), went over to the gambling table... haha. i was quite lucky, getting many blackjacks early on, so i actually made a lot of profit. unfortunately, after a few miscalculations, i sadly lost all my earnings, n more! :'( how sad... sad sad sad!! and yeah, after i lost all the money i set aside for tt day, i retreated into a lil corner n sulked. nah... i just went to eat n drink more... haha. till it was time to visit my relatives from my maternal side... it wasn't quite as happening there, cuz it so happened tt it was rather late (like 10 plus), so most were gone... so just chatted mostly with my grandma and aunts... and hearing how i must learn chinese (??! wth...)... yeah... :/ like, wait till they hear my friends in sch speak chinese! :X

yes... today, woke up quite early, and went over nick's place to pai nian.... i came prepared - with an empty stomach! ;) as expected, i was offered lotsa food! always so hospitable... ;) gotta try iranian (think it was) sweets tt nick's dad was gonna sell - its really sweet, so he says u r supposed to drink this tea he served, in really beautiful china, and it does indeed go damn well together. but his mum walked by and shook her head - Mr Bean mentally she said, referring to how u eat, then drink to mix the taste... but kinda cute la... ;) then, had toasted bread - with carvia - lots and lots of it...! it was kinda interesting the taste, but it was soo much! probably a lot of cholestrol there. but yeah, v v nice... his cousins were too scared to eat... quite amusing! :P yes, but apparently e carvia was damn ex, like USD400 for tt bottle... *ouch*! :/

after lunch, i went off to suntec to try to look for these pair of sunglasses i wanted to buy. been eyeing it for damn long, n after my big haul during new year this year, was really hoping to get it... but but but... unfortunately, e shop tt sells it cheapest was closed, n so was the shop tt sold it second cheapest... ;) ah wells, be back another day... lol.

then in the evening, or like late afternoon, went over to another aunt's place where most of my paternal family was gathered. damn re nao! we lao yu sheng, this damn big one... we didn't use plate, cuz the amt we lao is like the size of a turntable on a huge table... which is excatly what we did. we wrapped the turntable up with plastic n used it like a plate! woosh! it went so high, damn fun... :) after tt, the food served up was yumyumyum! my aunt from thailand cooked tom yum soup, tomyum vermicilli... wow, damn shiok. was just missing tom yum after coming back from thailand... :) then chilli crab, and more zhu jiao n other food... was so satiated. :))) back to e gambling table it was. i was determined, n i made profit. 40 at one pt in time, but left with 20+. wateva, still a profit... damn, one round, i really made a mistake of now taking a risk, else, i might've left with 40 still. well, nvm. break even! my stupid cousin, bloody hell, won 200+ ytd, today win another 80+... garr!!!

anw, tired now, shall pack my room which looks tornado swept. nite pple! happy new year! :)

Heyhey... In thailand now... Am quite enjoying myself... :) haha, e hotel is lovely... Staying at intercontinental... Its a really great hotel... Yup, nice lobby, really friendly staff, door pple, n car openers! Haha, I get a kingsized bed to myself, with four pillows. Haha, toilet is huge, with a bathtub! Oh yeah... Love e pampering... Lol. Yeah, today, basically just wet shopping everywhere, stuff here is cheap! N food's even cheaper la... Yeah man! Met up w my uncle n aunty, n got treated to their restaurant, loved e tom yum n e crab... Was great!

Oh yes, i'm actually typing on my pda now... It takes a while... Lol, cuz i've like one stylus but ten fingers... Lol. Well, this pda phone is not bad, but then, it lags at time, n e camera is really a far cry from my previous one... :/ well, guess tt's all for today...

Just watched terminator 3 n anger management (dn't know tt john mcenroe cameoed in anger management, but tt'd make sense), oh I also watching lost treasure, dunno wat tt is, but edie acted in it, haha... (note after I finished e watching – damn stupid movie, it ended in a hurry… these pple looking for a treasure, columbus’ one, suddenly found it at their feet… WTH, I just wasted my time watching it) Damn, if I had cinemax or hbo at home i'd be failing all exams cuz i'd just be watching tv at home everyday! Haha, am such a tv addict! :/ anyway, its been yet another great day... Woke up lovely breakfast. Love it here, e food is delicious, n e spread is damn wide. N its always cheap as well... :) oh, n I dropped a spoon on my way back to e table, n before I could even get up to replace it, someone was there with a spoon waiting for me... Now tt's great service! Returned back to my room to watch tennis finals, so plsed tt mauresmo finally won a slam... So this ao weren't tt bad... ;)

Yeah, today was more shopping n gd food! Went weekend market, damn a lot of things there, but it was too hot to stay long... But we went mabukong to shop instead... Think tt's how u spell it? Hmmm, more great food... Ate so much salmon roe... High cholestrol... :/ yup, shall go watch more now... Tata!

Right now at e hotel watching federer winning his final against bagdatis.. Quite an up & down match! Anw, last day here and I've spent all my money liao… Oh, but I bought really cheap cheap nike sneakers! Haha! =)

Yeah. I've actually been to thailand quite a lot... So i've nit gone to visit any tourist land marks... Bit rather just went shopping n eating all day long...lol. Yeah, but today, I just had e most amazing hot chocolate at this french restaurant, it was really thick n creamy... :) delicious! Oh, at e shopping center, they've really nice landscaping in tt e restaurants r nice to indoor ponds, so it just gives a really open n great atmosphere... :)

i suspect tt there r damn a lot of ang mohs here w escots! They're not tt old some of them, but some r old.. But tt's not e pt of course... Pt is tt they always have a young thai girl by their side... Hmmm, suspicious!

i've really had a great bday... really had so many bday cakes this year... like 4 or 5 i think... if u count those tt are shared of course... ;)

feel so fourtunate to have so many pple with me, celebrating me ageing - yay! here's to more white hairs and wrinkles... :P yeah, and ian and i were just commenting on how haggard we now look... looks like the 2 in front of yr age does wonders for looking older. ah but its ok, i'm still v much young at heart man! :)

really, i dunno how to express my gratitude to my friends and family and relatives who've made my life quite so wonderful... esp these days... :) all the smses n cards, and phone calls made me smile... esp some really quite unexpected ones... haha!

hmmm, i guess i've come quite some ways... 20. kinda sad i've not really done anything noteworthy huh? but hopefully, 20 years later, i'd have. but geez, 20 years later, it'd be so sad if i have a blog still. LOL. arghh, am crapping.

oh, sunday was really a fun day for me. had lunch w zp, weili, cm, yuan n nick... zp sure had lotsa banter to exchange with my aunt and mum... really was cracking my grand ma up... LOL. then we went settlers, where i was a traitor in this game called knights of camelot. quite a complicated game, but really fun when many pple play it together... :D i like being the traitor... so exciting! ;) and yeah, played i'm the boss, which i won quite handily, though i wasn't as good with dividends. bah, bad luck... :P i really enjoy settlers! its such a fun place, with so many fun games... board games certainly beat ermmm, com or movies in terms of interactivity as well... :) here's to more trips to settler's hopefully! :)

i've been feeling so blessed and happy... :) yeah, my bday's coming, and i'm gonna turn a year older soon, but its great to have friends around to 'celebrate' (cuz i dun wanna turn older!!) it... makes things so happy!!! :P and even if u dun wanna read this post - u've gotta scroll down to see the pictures - esp of the cake! :P

ytd (fri), was at emily's party. she had a really successful party, the turn out was great, and her house, was as nice as ever... :) the food was so yummy, and too much! ate till i was so bloated, and even the great bottomless pit of a stomach of KS couldn't handle it... :P oh, and the cake was really delicious! :)

after the party, had to rush off to meet the others... christine, yanxin, cass, gary, roystan and yanying... they told me they bought a cake for yanxin, and wanted to wait for me to go cut. i felt sooo paiseh, making them wait for so long! :/ esp yanxin cuz the cake's for her... after i arrived *finally*, they surprised me cuz i got to share the cake with yanxin.. yay! :) we played many games, which i never kena forfeit - haha, bday luck? ;) but yes, i was so amazed tt christine could squeeze her cake into her tiny bag, really thought tt it was some kind of doeramon magic bag... haha! yanxin was equally shocked to say the least... haha.

ok, today, i was in for another surprise! haha... was supposed to meet my class for dinner and memoirs of a geisha. got a present from aaron, a shirt which looks nothing like anything i have... haha, guess tt's good! :)

had dinner at coffee club... and bummed ard. then we went to look at phones, a lot of us wanna get pda phones... oo, i feel less bad. and of course, cars are a hot topic of conversation now cuz we all are gonna get one - sooner or later... ;) and yes, holiday planning - so exciting!

as we were gonna leave for cini, it was pouring heavily. instead of braving the rain, we went giodarno, n i got umbrella - its half price on rainy days... ;) and so i bought it, and we went out - only to discover the rain got smaller. yeah of course it had to happen. after the movie (which was nice - but the book is way better cuz of a lot more details tt makes everything much more coherent and gives it a deeper plot), we went maestros cuz hs was late, and was gonna treat us dessert! :P

so came the chocolate fondue... which was a disaster - we all made such a mess, dropping stuff into the pot, and fighting over the stuff in the pot. brownies were casualties, getting stuck in the pot and disintegrating into many crumbs, forming a rich crumbly chocolate puddle. haha. it didn't help we were all sticking sticks in at the same time, making everything (fruits, marshmellows, whatever), fall in! after tt, a cake came out - surprise... it was a huge one. cuz it had me and hs's face on it!! haha. it was a photo from long ago, with us making funny and controted faces. we tried to imitate it... haha!!

ok, there's a long story as to why we all ended up somewhere else taking a picture with the cake, rather than at the cafe... which i shall not elaborate. but thanks a lot to you guys... it was really such a lovely surprise... and i was soo happy. all the happy laughter, the fun and the joy - i mean, what can i say... i'm so lucky and blessed to be able to have friends like you all. thank you so much.

well, so sch has started, and i've missed 2 days of sch this week. really can't find the motivation to go to sch. the drudgery and boringness puts me to slp. sighs! and i forgot to mention, there's australian open on tv... :P its like on for more than 12 hours a day... :)

anw, so last week marked yihan's leaving for NY. it was fun when u were here. attended his bday party on sunday - had a lot of laughs, though i dun really have pictures to show... ;) yeah, i dun really remember what else happened last week... must've been nothing much. oh, but after tt rain post, i managed to get some tennis the next day, and 2 days later too, cuz there was - glorious sunshine! yeah... :)

anws, i ought to start reading some of the stuff they go through soon. bah. and gurmit singh... he's such an awful tutor. he speaks - so - slow -. when u blink, its a split second. when he does, its a second. and the amount of time he pauses, is probably as long, or longer than the time he spends talking... :tape: sighs. and so i was bored, and when he turned around - it takes awfully long for him to do tt too i think, i ran out of class. he never knew... LOL. kk, i wun be so mean if he actually let us see the cadavers, but after 10min, he concluded tt it was too noisy and made us go back into the tut room - its a pract! haha.

really, i'm so annoyed with the rain. travelling is troublesome, and damn it, i can't have any outdoor activities. it really really sucks to look forward to tennis, then have it pour on you. everyday. damn you rain clouds. be gone.

and med sch lecturers, wtf, you are damn boring. i'm surprised you dun fall aslp listening to the echoes of yr own lectures and yr unfunny jokes. bah.

haha, been not blogging frequently... yeah! i've just been out there doing things instead of sitting at my com...

but so much for the rainy weather! never fails to rain on my parade... :( can't even do anything outdoors ever since i came back to singapore.

and need i mention the horrendous first day at sch?! where the lectures bored me to death. bah. looks like i should seriously consider julie's and many other's home schooling programme... ;)

well, let's talk a bit abt HK - disneyland was quite tiny. but well, the atmosphere was great! totally happifying, and returns you to like 'childhood' mode... ;) the familiar tunes from all the disney classics greet you when u enter, and all the lil cartoon characters are everywhere! and the shops... wowowowow! so nice... its like just beckoning out to you - 'buy me!'. everything is so thematic... you almost believe you're in another world... :)

the band playing, the cast walking around, smiling huge grins all over their faces... :) oh, and the weather was great... not too cold, and definitely not hot! the rides weren't thrilling, not even the space mountain! tt was a bummer. but well, al least the queues were short, and i've got a collection of invalid fast passes to the rides... ;) i'm such a junkie.

well, i shalln't bother saying much more abt disneyland.. better look at the pix when i'm done uploading. oh, but the closing was great too. all the floats, lovely costumes and great nostalgic songs! ;) well, yh says i've no childhood... whatever! its precisesly tt i did tt all these brings up nice memories of me and my sister watching all those tapes over and over... lol.

yeah, but the highlight of the trip has gotta be the tennis tournament. all the excitment of seeing the players live! and 4 of my fav female players were there... lindsay, venus, serena, kim. wow... i was sooo happy. to be able to see them close up, and even, take pix with serena! woohoo. but shoot. let me tell you sth stupid tt happened. venus hardly signs autographs see, but one day, i was there, with only a cap for her to sign. i had no marker, and she was gonna sign it. but i had no marker... geez. my chance! i could've got it... damn. sadness. well, guess you all wun wanna know much abt the tennis... and those who'd wanna would've already seen what i posted elsewhere. so yeah, its ok... :) just admire my photo with serena, as bad as the photography is... bah... :)

overall, nice trip. i bought quite a lot of cheap stuff man. sooo cheap. HK has such a wide selection of stuff, all so cheap!! damn, wish i had more money... ;)

alrite, back to sch again... darn. hope it wun be shitty.

went grocery shopping with my parents... and either my family eats alot, or we grocery shop v lil... can't decide which it is. the bill was like 300+... :/ gee.

anws, went MOS last nite at last. wow, it was huggggeee! well, pictures will show ya what i mean. they certainly are much nicer than zouk, as they let u take pix... unlike zouk where the bouncer appeared out of nowhere to warn me not to take pix... :@

this is RnB/Hiphop room... its really a cage like thing, with graffiti-ish stuff... v american back alley kinda hip hop, ghettoish in fact... but it certainly sets the mood. one of the most crowded rooms...

it was really amusing tt nite... esp with all the pple around. interesting to see how pple tried to pick up girls, and then, how girls would crowd round weili, me and yihan cuz we dun really quite disturb them tt much... lol. then of course, the brave solo-ists in the hip hop and retro rooms... one of which even had various pple making spoofs of him. lol!

anw, went out with zp and weili today to get my xmas presents... haha. thanks guys... really nice stuff :) and... i've really been gorging... feel so bloated now. geez, then flying off to HK soon, more food!! haha. oh wells. and stoppit pple abt turning 20! tt's gonna happen in abt 3 weeks for me... :(

going out to meet many friends... its been great. settlers with ra, kat n shi, and lotsa tennis with them and more! :) and of course other outings like ktv and movies b4 ra left for ireland again... sadness... you'll be missed! :( kat's bday! haha, where i got really nice cake for him... :P

and then there's the trowling of orchard during the sales, fighting with all the pple for clothes! haha, damn funny one day when me and yihan went off after he liked a pair of jeans. then we came back and it was gone, but somehow, saw a guy holding it. and so we tailed him round the store... but he bought it in the end! LOL.

great to have yihan back! haha, played doubles today - boy its been ages... (: the fun we always have! then had lunch, bummed, watching transamerica, and having yuanhong playing his pink nitendo ds, k his sister's. quite amusing game he had!

then of course, there was this 11 days where i watched 7 movies in the cinemas.. so ex... :( and ended disappointingly with the family stone - a most horrid movie! :/ haha, oh, and i finished watching LOST, and reading memoirs of a geisha. its a damn good book, go read it if you haven't.

oh, and aside from getting squashed lots in orchard, there's the marina crowd for new year... really, its the most powerful crowd ever! pple moving at the most in opportune moments, like when fireworks are exploding overhead... and then pple with babies, transporting them up the stairs - in prams! its like wth, so crowded tt we can't even move, and u wanna move a pram up. geez.

but, in the end, the fireworks were lovely... look at some of the shots i captured, despite the constant shoving (making my pictures blurry - i've not got the antishake camera, yet)
